Acid washing is required during the production process of quartz crucibles. But there are also things we should pay attention to when pickling it, otherwise crystallization may occur, which may affect the quality of the product. We should pay attention to the following aspects during the pickling process of the crucible.
1. After pickling, the material cannot be exposed to air without sufficient rinsing, as the material with residual acid on its surface is prone to oxidation in air, resulting in blue or white mist.
2. After acid washing, the quartz crucible cannot be cleaned with ultrasonic waves without sufficient rinsing, because ultrasonic tanks are made of metal materials. Once the residual acid enters the ultrasonic water, it will quickly react with the wall of the ultrasonic tank, producing a large amount of metal ions, which will mostly adsorb to the surface of the silicon material.
When drying quartz crucibles, the silicon material should not come into contact with any metal baskets, as the deionized water on the surface of the silicon material in the oven can easily generate a large amount of heavy metal ions in the metal baskets.
