1. The main chemical component of quartz bowls is silicon dioxide, which does not react with other acids except hydrofluoric acid and is prone to react with caustic soda and alkali metal carbonates.
2. Quartz bowls have good thermal stability and can be directly placed on a flame for heating.
3. Quartz bowls, like glassware, are prone to breakage, so be especially careful when using them.
4. Potassium bisulfate (sodium) and sodium thiosulfate (dried at 212 degrees Celsius) can be used as fluxes in quartz bowls, with a melting temperature not exceeding 800 degrees Celsius.
